It’ll be no problem, the troubled young boy figured. Genius even. He would apply a couple of computer programs to an ancient book of dark magic, and then have all that he desired: popularity at school, power over bullies, charm with girls.
But the boy was in a hurry. Mistakes were made. Result: demonic possession.
Did he have to drag Chloe into it though? Seriously? One minute she’s a science fair nerd and the next she’s thrown into the world between earth and eternity: a drowned New York City, teeming with slave masters, pirates, hopdevils and unholy monsterfolk.
Meanwhile her best friend Maya is back home in their New York, doing all she can to save her friend while also passing algebra.
