Golf Is A Four Letter Word is a semi autobiographical work of humor and fiction, nominally about the game of golf, but in fact, about the struggle to be competent. Golf pits man against nature ( nature wins every time) and asks a player to try and be their best self. Even for mediocre players, there are life lessons to be learned from golf. The author suggests that having a sense of humor, and not taking oneself too seriously, are key when confronted with a situation that is difficult to manage. Peter Kratka, something of an overachiever in life, is an underachiever in golf, which teaches him humility and respect for the game. Follow his flailing attempts at mastering an unmasterable game.
