Jalandhar, as part of this larger crisis, has not remained untouched. The alarming increase in drug abuse, especially among youth, has brought the issue of addiction to the forefront of social and governmental concerns. The availability of various forms of narcotics and the ease of access to these substances have contributed to a surge in the number of addicts, necessitating the establishment of Nasha Mukti Kendras in the region.
