Stricter Weight-Loss Jab Regulations in the UK: What It Means for Patients & Pharmacies
At Private Medical Clinic, we fully support the decision to implement stricter weight-loss jab checks for online pharmacies. These new regulations ensure that weight-loss injections, such as Wegovy (semaglutide) and Mounjaro (tirzepatide), are prescribed safely and responsibly. Patients can no longer obtain private prescriptions simply by filling out an online form; instead, they must undergo a video consultation or provide medical records to confirm their body mass index (BMI) and overall suitability for treatment.
