Cordish Companies has received unanimous approval from the Louisiana Gaming Authority to operate a casino in Bossier City, Louisiana.
This regulatory approval allows Cordish to complete the acquisition of Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel and begin the conversion of the property into a casino and entertainment under the Live! Brand. The redevelopment project, which is slated to open in 2025, includes the construction of the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market.

During the public hearing, Cordish officials gave an explanation of the Live! Louisiana Casino & Hotel, representing an investment of over $270 million.
The facility will feature more than 47,000 square feet of gaming space, housing more than 1,000 slot machines, electronic table games and more than 40 live table games. In addition, it will include a sportsbook, a 550-room hotel, amenities, a 25,000-square-foot event center and more than 30,000 square feet of dining and entertainment.
